Mentoring FRC Teams

We devote some of our time to helping struggling or new FRC teams. This year, we heavily mentored Cleveland High, team 2733, and helped team 2811 of Skyview, and Riverdale, team 2915, begin a successful year. Since 2006, we have mentored five other teams: team 1823 of Lincoln High School, team 2374 of Jesuit High School, team 2635 of Lakeridge High School, team 2471 of Camas High School, and team 2550 from Oregon City. Last year, team 2550 won the Rookie all star award, and team 2374 was a finalist. Team 2733, a rookie team who won the world championships in FLL, visited our lab and was inspired to create their own FIRST team last year. This year, after spending one year with FTC, they needed some help orienting themselves, learning the basics of robotics, and occasionally, finding appropriate parts to build their robot. We helped them with their adventures in the spirit of friendly competition. Since 2006, we have mentored or helped eight FRC teams!
