OMSI Scrimmage

Our Flaming Chicken cavorts with enthusiastic middle schoolers

On October 24, 2009, Team 1540 joined other teams for a pre-season scrimmage at OMSI (the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). We were one of the eighteen teams competing in the OMSI scrimmage, and everyone proudly donned their tie-dyed Flaming Chickens shirts. The scrimmages we participated in were two on two, red against blue. The point was to get as many balls as possible into the opponents’ trailer, like last year's competition, Lunacy. There were three people in the game for each team- a driver, a coach, and a human player, who tried to toss the balls into the trailers.

It was a fun day for all, and it helped garner interest and enthusiasm from the participants and the spectators!
