Game Rules

The 2008 Game, “Overdrive,” is a unique new game concept for the FRC tournament. Both alliances travel counterclockwise around an oval track, scoring points by passing certain lines along the way. Each alliance also has two large inflated balls they can use to score more points. The balls can either be rolled under an alliance’s “overpass” or, for more points, they can be propelled over the top of the overpass--this is called “hurdling”. At the end of the game, alliances can earn bonus points for placing their balls on the top of their overpass and leaving them there.
