Welcome to Team 1540!

Since 2005, Team 1540, known as the Flaming Chickens, has competed in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Team 1540 comes from The Catlin Gabel School in Portland, Oregon.

FIRST Robotics is unlike any other activity you've ever participated in. Whether you're involved with Fabrication, Control Systems, Software Engineering, Website Design, Marketing or something else entirely, chances are your skills are quintessential to running a successful robotics team. We bring in mentors from the Catlin Gabel faculty and local industries to help us learn our fields, but we construct our robot entirely by ourselves with as little mentor interaction as possible. We are proud that during the build season, adults are not allowed to touch the robot or keyboard.
